Role Description

The Online News Editor is a full-time, on-site position based in Accra, Adenta.

The primary responsibilities include managing, editing, and curating online news content, ensuring timely and accurate publication.

The editor will oversee the development of compelling stories, verify facts, and collaborate with journalists and contributors.

Additional tasks involve maintaining consistency in tone and style while optimizing content for digital platforms to increase audience engagement.

Qualifications

• Proficient in News Editing, Copy Editing, and Proofreading
• Strong Writing, Content Management, and Online Content Strategy skills
• Competence in Digital Journalism
• Ability to manage teams, assign tasks, and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems and multimedia storytelling tools
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• Prior experience in media or publishing, particularly online platforms, is preferred
